The Inspiring Journey of India’s First Olympic Gold Medalist, Neeraj Chopra | Dr Vivek Bindra
From an overweight child battling low self-esteem to becoming India’s “Golden Boy,” this is the extraordinary journey of Neeraj Chopra. Bullied for his weight, he discovered his passion when his father took him to Shivaji Stadium, where he first saw a javelin. With no resources, he trained using bamboo sticks in his father’s fields. By 14, he left his family to chase his dreams and soon set a national record with a 68-meter throw in an Under-16 tournament. In 2014, he won gold at the World Youth Championships, marking the start of his international career. Despite facing an elbow injury in 2018 and COVID-19 training restrictions, he refused to give up. In 2021, Neeraj created history as India’s first Olympic Gold medalist in athletics, becoming a symbol of resilience and excellence. Today, he stands proud as the “Golden Boy of India.” Watch Full Video Here: https://youtu.be/Y1fdigK5iG4?si=ta3Pvdg3Qac7sMFV #NeerajChopra #HappyBirthdayNeerajChopra #JavelinThrow #DrVivekBindra #BadaBusiness
